Hi there, come on in...
I am genuinely happy you are here.
My Little Homestead
A couple years ago my husband and I built our home on some acreage. Before we even had a chance to break ground on the home build, I was scheming where I was going to plant my gardens, put my chicken coupe, and let my goats graze. Fast forward to today and we’re slowly getting there. I haven’t quite talked my husband into goats yet, but I’m working on it!
It’s so rewarding to grow and harvest your own food. Even if it’s on a super small scale. If you hunt or have ever grown something from a seed you know what I mean! It’s the simple things! Not to mention, I like knowing where my food comes from.
Almost forgot to mention these two – our babies before actual babies. Without them, our home would feel so empty and probably a lot cleaner! Lab hair, ugh…
And We Grew!
In the spring of 2020, my husband and I welcomed our first baby, a little boy. Before we had kids, I knew I wanted to raise my babies where they could learn from nature – where their food comes from, how to care for and raise animals, and more importantly just simply having fun getting their hands and feet dirty exploring outside and learning about the world around them.
And We Grew…Again!
The sweetest little gal joined our little family in the fall of 2021, making us a family of four. Having two little ones has made life busier than ever but definitely the best it’s ever been too.
I want to inspire you to cook with more seasonal and local foods. I will help you by sharing simple recipes for the whole family and honest tips for getting the kiddos active in both the kitchen and outside.
