Hi there, come on in. I am genuinely happy you are here…
My Little Homestead
A couple years ago my husband and I built our home on some acreage. Before we even had a chance to break ground on the home build, I was scheming where I was going to plant my gardens, put my chicken coupe, and let my goats graze. I haven’t quite talked my husband into goats yet, but I’m working on it! Fast forward to today and we’re slowly getting there.
It’s so rewarding to grow and harvest your own food. Even if it’s on a super small scale. If you hunt or have ever grown something from a seed you know what I mean! It’s the simple things!
Almost forgot to mention these two – our babies before actual babies. Without them, our home would feel so empty and probably a lot cleaner! Lab hair, ugh…
And We Grew!
This spring my husband and I welcomed our first baby, a little boy. Before we had kids, I knew I wanted to raise my babies where they could learn from nature – where their food comes from, how to care for and raise animals, and more importantly just simply having fun getting their hands and feet dirty exploring outside and learning about the world around them.
